Nucor loses fight as ITC says no to China, Taiwan fastener probe

Nucor Fastener expressed disappointment Friday over a U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) decision to drop an investigation into imports of fasteners from China and Taiwan.

The ITC made negative determinations in preliminary-phase countervailing and anti-dumping duty investigations involving U.S. imports of certain standard steel fasteners from China and Taiwan, stating that there is no reasonable indication that the U.S. industry has been materially injured or threatened with material injury by the allegedly subsidized fastener imports.
