Chinese steelmakers have raised offer prices for exports of rebar and wire rod, citing steady increases in domestic mill prices. Rebar is now being offered at $550 to $560 per tonne f.o.b. and wire rod offers are at $560 to $570 per tonne f.o.b., both up from $530 to $550 in mid-June. Chinese steel mills are offering rebar containing boron or vanadium at $540 to $550 per tonne f.o.b., while offers for SAE1008B wire rod have risen $10 to $550 to $560 per tonne f.o.b.
