John P. Surma
Chairman & CEO, US Steel

John P. Surma was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1954. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1976 with a bachelor of science degree in accounting.

Mr. Surma joined Price Waterhouse LLP in 1976, and in 1981 he served in the Manchester, England, office of the Price Waterhouse United Kingdom firm. In 1987, he was admitted to the partnership.

In 1983, Mr. Surma participated in the President’s Executive Exchange Program in Washington, D.C., where he served as executive staff assistant to the vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board.

In 1997, Mr. Surma joined Marathon Oil Company as senior vice president, finance & accounting. He was appointed president, Speedway SuperAmerica LLC in 1998, and senior vice president, supply & transportation for Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC (MAP) in 2000. He was named president of MAP on January 1, 2001.

Effective with the separation from USX Corporation, he became vice chairman and chief financial officer of United States Steel Corporation on January 1, 2002. He was named president in March 2003, and president and chief operating officer in June 2003. He was elected president and chief executive officer in 2004, and chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer in February 2006.

Mr. Surma is a member of the board of directors of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation and Calgon Carbon Corporation. He serves as vice chairman of the board of directors of the International Iron and Steel Institute and held the title of chairman from 2006 through 2007. He is also a member of the board of directors of the American Iron and Steel Institute and previously served as chairman and vice chairman of the organization. Mr. Surma is also a member of the National Association of Manufacturers’ board of directors.

Additionally, he is a member of the board of directors and executive committee of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development; the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business Board of Visitors; and Pennsylvania State University’s Board of Trustees and its Smeal College of Business Board of Visitors. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Rob Edwards
Managing Director, Metals & Mining, Renaissance Capital, Russia

Rob Edwards is a Managing Director responsible for leading steel, pipe, coal and mining research in the CIS and Sub- Saharan Africa for Renaissance Capital, a leading emerging markets investment bank. His responsibilities include coverage of public and private companies and in his role he has been closely involved in several high profile and ground breaking IPO’s and M&A transactions within the CIS and Africa. Mr. Edwards has been ranked as Russia’s leading metals and mining analyst by Institutional Investor in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. In October 2006 Mr. Edwards won the won the individual analyst ranking in EMEA Metals and Mining in the Thomson Pan European Survey 2006 conducted by Thomson Extel and in 2007 and 2008 was voted as the leading EMEA metals and mining analyst by Institutional Investor in their Pan European survey. Prior to joining Renaissance Capital in September 2002, Mr. Edwards was responsible for precious metals research as well as managing broader resource research for HSBC Southern Africa as the Director of metals and mining research, based in Johannesburg. Mr. Edwards is a mining engineer by training and worked in production and new business prior to becoming involved in investment banking in 1997.

Alexei A. Mordashov
Chief Executive Officer, OAO Severstal, Russia

Alexey Mordashov has worked for Severstal since 1988. He started his career as a senior economist, becoming Chief Financial Officer in 1992. In 1996, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Severstal.

In June 2002, Mr. Mordashov was elected Chairman of Severstal’s Board of Directors and served as Chief Executive Officer of Severstal Group.

Since December 2006, he has been Chief Executive Officer of Severstal.

In May 2003, he was asked to serve on the Entrepreneurs Council of the Government of Russian Federation. In addition, Mr. Mordashov is a member of the Russian-German workgroup responsible for strategic economic and finance issues, and he is the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs’ (RSPP) Committee of Trade Policy, responsible for Russia’s entry into the World Trade Organization, reforming the customs policy and some other trade problems. Since March 2006 he is a member of the EU-Russia Business Cooperation Council. Since May 2007 he is a member of the Atlantic Council President’s International Advisory Board.

Mr. Mordashov earned his undergraduate degree from the Leningrad Institute of Engineering and Economics. He also holds an MBA from the University of Northumbria, United Kingdom, and was granted an honorary doctorate from the Saint-Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics in 2001 and from the University of Northumbria in 2003.

Wim Plaizier
Partner, A.T. Kearney, The Netherlands

Wim Plaizier is Partner, member of the Global Energy & Process Industries Practice and Head of the European Operations Practice of global management consultant A.T. Kearney, based in Amsterdam. He specialises in metals and mining. Since March 2005, he combines this role with the position of Managing Partner, A.T. Kearney Benelux. Early 2007 he also became responsible for A.T. Kearney’s operations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Wim joined A.T. Kearney in 1996 with 15 years of in-depth international industry experience.

A.T. Kearney is a strategic, corporate-focused management consulting firm known for high quality, tangible results and its working-partner style. The firm was established in 1926 to provide management advice concerning issues on the CEO’s agenda. Today, A.T. Kearney’s offices are located in major business centres in 35 countries.

S.K. Roongta
Chairman, SAIL, India

Mr. S K Roongta has been Chairman, Steel Authority of India Ltd. since August 2006. SAIL is India’s largest steel producer and ranks amongst the biggest corporates in India with a turnover of over US $10 billion & a workforce of around 129, 000.

An engineering graduate from BITS, Pilani and a Gold medalist in International Trade from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, Mr. Roongta started his career in 1972 as a marketing executive in SAIL, and held several vital positions in the marketing division. He was elevated to SAIL Board as Director (Commercial) in 2004. He briefly held the posts of Director (Personnel) and MD/Durgapur Steel Plant and was also in-charge of Business Planning and Raw Materials Division of SAIL.

Mr. Roongta has special interest in professional activities. He is a Council member of the All India Management Association (AIMA), Member of the General Body of BITS, Pilani, Council member of Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Institution of Engineers & several other institutions.

Shri Roongta chairs the `National Committee of CII on Steel and Non-Ferrous Metals’. He is also a member on the Board of SCOPE, an apex body of CPSEs in the country. Mr. Roongta is an avid reader and has authored and presented papers in several national as well as international conferences.

Shri Roongta is the recipient of a number of awards including Eminent Engineer Award by The Institution of Engineers and 'IIFT Alumnus of the Year 2006'.

Francisco Rubiralta
Chairman & CEO, CELSA Group, Spain

Francisco Rubiralta was born in Barcelona, Spain. He founded CELSA GROUP and is the sole owner. He is its Chairman and CEO since its foundation.

Prior to the founding of CELSA, he earned a Doctorate Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica of Barcelona. Mr. Rubiralta completed post-graduate studies in Industrial Administration at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He has attended the program for Management Education at Harvard Business School (PMD), as well as participated in executive education programs at the Stanford Business School and IESE Business School.

From 2001 until 2005, he was a member of the IISI Executive Committee.

James P. Bouchard
Chairman & CEO, Esmark

The founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board of Esmark (NASDAQ: ESMK) is James P. Bouchard ( 46 ). He sets the vision, picks the team, and oversees purchasing, operations, sales and partnership activity. His experience and skill set blends domestic and international sales, operations and strategic planning experience.

Prior to founding Esmark, Jim was Vice President-Commercial for U.S. Steel in Europe, residing in Kosice, Slovak Republic. He was a member of the executive team that U.S. Steel sent to Kosice before and after having acquired the Slovakian National Steel Company (VSZ). Jim is widely credited with the successful commercial restructuring, implementation, and subsequent growth strategy of the company's global and European sales, marketing, strategic planning, production planning, and customer service initiatives. Today, the Kosice operation is the most profitable steel asset owned by U.S. Steel.

Jim currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Iron and Steel Institute in Washington DC and through his 20 years of international and domestic experiences Jim has developed a vast knowledge of the global OEM, service center and trading network. He was ultimately accountable for the commercial operations of U.S. Steel in 42 countries. Jim served on the C.D.E. committee for Eurofer in Brussels, Belgium . In addition, Chairman of the SSCI and AHAM supplier divisions of AISI-Washington, DC, and Board of Directors: Wheeling-Nisshan Steel Corporation and Ohio Coatings Corporation.

Jim began his career at U.S. Steel Group in 1987 as a sales representative and was rapidly promoted through several sales and marketing positions including Manager-Marketing and Strategic Market Development manager for the corporation. In 1998, he became Manager of National Accounts for the company and was responsible for sales, marketing, and customer service activities in the U.S. appliance, container, and converter industries. Throughout these positions Jim became a prominent figure in the domestic steel industry and has maintained and built upon these customer relationships.

Jim graduated from Loyola University - Chicago School of Business and holds United States patent 4,373,955 lightweight insulating concrete.

In the spring of 2005, Jim was nominated and chosen as an Illinois Finalist of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.

On March 26, 2006 the Association of Steel Distributors bestowed their highest honor on Jim as Steel Man of the Year.

André Gerdau Johannpeter
CEO, Gerdau, Brazil

André Gerdau Johannpeter, 45 years old, has been the CEO and President of the Gerdau Group since January 2007. At the beginning of 2008, André also became a member of the Board of Directors of Gerdau Group. The Group is the leading company in the production of long steels in the Americas and the world leader in specialty long steels for the automotive industry. It has 41,000 employees and operates in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

André has more than 28 years of experience in the Gerdau Group. Before taking over as CEO, André led the areas of Marketing and Sales, Metallics, Procurement, Logistics, Human Resources and Organizational Development on a global level. Previously to that he was Executive Vice-president in the Executive Committee and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Gerdau Ameristeel, the North American Operation of the Group (Canada and the US). André has been part of the Gerdau Ameristeel Board since 2002.

He also performed various functions in the areas of Information Technology, Sales, Human Resources, and Strategic Planning. Aldo Mazzaferro
Vice President, Global Investment Research, Goldman Sachs & Co.

Aldo J. Mazzaferro, Jr., CFA, Vice President, joined Goldman Sachs in December 2000. He leads the Steel, Metals and Mining research team. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Aldo was a principal and co-founder of Anvil Capital Management, LLC, a hedge fund focused on steel, metals, capital goods, and energy. Also, he founded a research, advisory, and consulting firm that served corporate and institutional clients and focused on steel, metals, and other basic industrial sectors. James L. Wainscott
Chairman, President and CEO, AK Steel

Jim Wainscott is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of AK Steel.

Mr. Wainscott began his steel industry career in 1982 with the former National Steel Corporation. He held a number of positions at the plant and corporate headquarters levels.

In 1995, he joined AK Steel as vice president and treasurer, later advancing to senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was named president and CEO and a member of the board of directors on October 16, 2003. He was elected chairman of the board of directors on January 1, 2006.

Mr. Wainscott currently serves as vice chairman of the board of directors of the American Iron and Steel Institute and vice chairman of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation. He is a member of the board of directors of the Specialty Steel Industry of North America, the Anthony Muñoz Foundation and the Cincinnati Zoo. Jim and his wife, Darla, currently serve as co-chairs for the Children’s Home of Cincinnati “Building on a Legacy of Excellence” campaign. Patrick A. McCormick
Managing Partner, World Steel Dynamics

• Patrick McCormick joined World Steel Dynamics as a Managing Partner in October 2006. He is managing WSD’s new Steel Stratagems consulting service. The service provides hand-on assistance to clients on how to improve their steel buying or selling performance in a rapidly changing global environment. Pat is also deeply involved in WSD’s efforts in tracking and supporting the development of steel futures trading.

• At Emerson his previous role was Vice President of Global Steel. This involved the building and the training of a global team that developed and executed Emerson’s steel sourcing strategies for over half-a-billion dollars in steel product purchases. Activities included the early application of steel financial swap risk management tools. Pat led his team’s efforts in playing a challenging game of three dimensional “Steel Chess” in that Emerson has significant steel buys in three major regional markets (NA, Europe and Asia).

• Pat also held various engineering and procurement management positions during his 30-year career at Emerson. Mr. McCormick, is a member of the Institute for Supply Management, holds a master's degree in business administration from Washington University and holds a degree in electrical engineering.

Ralph Oppenheimer
Chairman, Stemcor, U.K.

Ralph Oppenheimer (67) is Executive Chairman of Stemcor, the world's largest independent steel trader. Headquartered in London, with 70 offices in 40 countries around the world, Stemcor trades approximately 20 million tonnes of steel and steel-making raw materials per annum. Other services include trade & project finance, shipping & logistics, stockholding & processing, offset & countertrade, business planning consultancy and price risk management. Stemcor’s annual turnover in 2007 was in excess of $8.5 billion.

Ralph joined Stemcor in 1965, having previously worked as a government economist. He was appointed a director of Stemcor Holdings Limited in 1972 and Chairman and Chief Executive in 1982. In 2000, following the appointment of a group managing director, his role was changed to that of Executive Chairman. He has been married to Helen since 1971 and has two children and three grandchildren.

Stemcor was formed in London in 1951 by Ralph’s father, Hans Oppenheimer, and is still a privately owned company. The majority of shares are held by the Oppenheimer family, represented by Ralph, with the balance of shares held by employees.

Michael Pfitzner
Executive VP, Marketing and Commercial Coordination, ArcelorMittal

Michael Pfitzner joined Mittal Steel as Director of Marketing in February 2006. He has over 25 years of extensive industry experience in commercial functions with several steel companies, including Mannesmann, Saarstahl, Krupp Thyssen Stainless and Salzgitter. At Salzgitter, where he worked for nearly five years, Mr. Pfitzner was a member of the Executive Board responsible for Sales and Distribution. Mr. Pfitzner has a degree in economics from the University of Bonn, Germany.

John Short, Executive Director – Steel and Base Metals

Having achieved significant success in streamlining the trade in Gold and Silver, DMCC has begun to focus on Steel and Base Metals as an entirely new division. John Short, Executive Director - Steel and Base Metals at DMCC will focus on strengthening the ties between the Centre and the steel and base metals industry in the region. Among his core responsibilities is the development of the Steel Rebar Futures Contract, which commenced trading on DGCX in October 2007, John is responsible for the launch of physical and market infrastructure products, and will provide innovative concepts to facilitate the growth of the steel business in Dubai.

John holds extensive local and international experience in the steel and ferrous metals sector, having worked for the past 19 years with leading steel and ferrous metals companies and investment banks in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, including previous stints in Dubai. Prior to joining DMCC, he was Director, Strategy and Projects for Duferco Participation Holdings, parent of Switzerland-based Duferco, the world’s largest steel trading and production group. He has also served as Global Head of Steel for Standard Bank London Limited, and as General Manager of Stemcor’s Middle East operations and Managing Director of Stemcor Projects and Contracts. Holding an MBA from the University of Oxford, John is also a founding partner of Steel Derivatives, a Dubai-based consultancy offering financial price risk management services to clients involved in the steel supply chain worldwide.

Lourenco Goncalves
Chairman, President & CEO, Metals USA Holdings Corp.

LOURENÇO GONÇALVES has worked in the steel and metals business for more than 25 years, in the United States and in Brazil.

He started his career in 1981 with CSN, in Brazil, as a Research & Development engineer in the areas of BOF Steelmaking and Continuous Casting. With CSN, Mr. Gonçalves worked in several capacities, both in operations and in sales. As the General Superintendent of CSN’s steel plant, Mr. Gonçalves played a key role in the transformation of CSN from a state-owned steel mill into one of the most respected steel companies in the world. Mr. Gonçalves left CSN in 1998 as a Managing Director, and moved to the United States to become President and C.E.O. of California Steel Industries (CSI), in Fontana, California. Mr. Gonçalves stayed five years with CSI.

In February 2003, Mr. Gonçalves came to Metals USA to lead the company as its C.E.O. Since then, Metals USA has transformed itself into one of the most powerful and profitable Service Center companies of the United States. In November 2005, after an appreciation of Metals USA stock price of more than 700% in just two years, Mr. Gonçalves took the company private with Apollo Management, a private equity fund headquartered in New York City. Mr. Gonçalves is the Chairman of the Board, President and C.E.O. of Metals USA Holdings Corporation.

Mr. Gonçalves has a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Military Institute of Engineering, in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil, and a M.Sc. degree in Metallurgy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in Belo Horizonte – Brazil.

Dan Ronchetto
Vice President, Global Direct Materials, Greif Inc.

Dan Ronchetto is Vice President of Global Direct Materials for Greif, Inc., a worldwide leader in industrial packaging products and services. With more than $3.3 billion in revenues in 2007, Greif is strategically positioned in more than 45 countries to serve multinational as well as regional customers.

Mr. Ronchetto joined Greif in 2004. He is responsible for all aspects of the direct materials sourcing process. This includes leading a global sourcing team that is responsible for the identification and development of supply partners capable of supporting Greif’s global requirements, fostering supplier relationships that create value for all parties, and integrating all acquisitions into Greif’s sourcing strategies.

Prior to joining Greif, Mr. Ronchetto was a Manager with Emerson Electric in St. Louis, Mo, where he worked from 1990 to 2004. During this time, he held various positions in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management.

Mr. Ronchetto received a Masters in Business Administration from St. Louis University in 1998. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Southwest Missouri State University in 1989.

Mr. Ronchetto lives in the Columbus, Ohio, area with his wife and two children.

Scott Thiele
Director, Raw Materials and Stampings , Chrysler LLC

Mr. Scott Thiele is Director, Raw Materials and Stampings for Chrysler LLC. In this role, Mr. Thiele is responsible for the procurement of steel, stampings, precious metals, base metals, ferrous scrap, and fasteners. Mr. Thiele joined Chrysler LLC in November of 2007 after 16 years of experience with Whirlpool, most recently as the General Manager, Global Raw Materials. Mr. Thiele holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in business from Ashland University.

Daniel R. DiMicco
Chairman, President & CEO, Nucor Corp.

Dan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Nucor Corporation. Dan is also Chairman of Nucor’s Board of Directors.

Dan joined Nucor Corporation in November 1982 as Plant Metallurgist and Manager of Quality Control for Nucor Steel in Plymouth, Utah and in January 1988, he became Melting and Casting Manager at the Utah division. In March 1991, Dan became General Manager of the Nucor-Yamato joint venture in Blytheville, Arkansas and became Vice President in January 1992. He became Executive Vice President in September 1999. He became President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors in September 2000. He was elected Vice Chairman in June 2001 and Chairman in May 2006.

Prior to joining Nucor Corporation, Dan was with Republic Steel Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio as Research Metallurgist and Project Leader. Dan was with Republic Steel from March 1975 until he joined Nucor in November 1982.

Dan graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Science. Dan graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1975.

Nucor and affiliates are manufacturers of steel products, with operating facilities primarily in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Sajjan Jindal was born on December 5, 1959, in Calcutta,

India. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in

Mechanical Stream from Bangalore University in the year

1982. After graduation, he joined Jindal Organisation.

Mr. Jindal moved to Mumbai to independently look after the

western region operations of O. P. Jindal Group in 1983. In

1989 he promoted Jindal Iron and Steel Company Ltd. (JISCO), for manufacturing of Cold

Rolled and Galvanized Sheet Products. In 1995, he promoted Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Ltd.

(JVSL), JSW Energy Ltd. (JSWEL), Jindal Praxair Oxygen Ltd. (JPOCL), Vijayanagar Minerals

Private Ltd. (VMPL) to ensure complete integration of the manufacturing process. All these

businesses were formed to achieve the core competency in the production of Flat Steel

Products. South West Port Limited and Southern Iron and Steel Company Limited were added

in the year 2004. To achieve better synergies in the operation of group companies, JISCO and

JVSL were merged to form JSW Steel Limited in 2005. This group is now known as JSW.

Joseph A. Carrabba
CEO, Cleveland Cliffs

Joseph A. Carrabba joined Cleveland-Cliffs Inc in April 2005 as president and chief operating officer. He assumed the role of president and chief executive officer of the Company in September 2006, and was elected chairman of the Board of Directors in May 2007.

Mr. Carrabba joined Cleveland-Cliffs from Rio Tinto, a global mining company, where he served for 22 years in a variety of leadership capacities at locations worldwide including the United States, Asia, Australia, Canada, and Europe. Before relocating to Rio Tinto’s Diavik Diamond Mines, Inc., in Canada’s Northwest Territory where he served most recently as president and chief operating officer, he spearheaded the development and successful implementation of Rio Tinto’s Six Sigma initiative at its bauxite mining operation in Australia.

The company has been in business for 80 years, employs more than 2,500 people and maintains over 70 facilities throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and South America.

Michael Coslov was born on January 11, 1942 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and acquired Tube City from his family in 1987. The company was founded by his grandfather, David, in 1925 and was originally called Tube City Iron & Metal Company. The name of the company was derived from the nickname for McKeesport that was the home of National Tube, a division of U. S. Steel, and hence was called “Tube City”.

Michael Coslov attended Massanutten Academy in Woodstock, Virginia and graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in Business Administration. He has been selected as a member of their Century Club. He began his long career with Tube City in 1965. In subsequent years, Michael held positions as Vice President Eastern District, President Eastern Scrap Recycling and Chairman. In 1987, Michael acquired full control of Tube City Iron and Metal Company and became Chief Executive Officer. After renaming the company Tube City, Inc., Michael succeeded in increasing the size of the company from sixty million in annual sales to what is now a 2.2 billion dollar business and one of the largest steel mill service companies in the world.

Michael Coslov was an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, serving as Senior Vice President, Education, for the national organization as well as Chapter Chairman of Philadelphia. He is a member of World Presidents’ Organization and the Chief Executive’s Organization. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Franklin Institute, the Shipley School, SEPA Red Cross, Mill Creek Capital Advisors, BDP International, Boys Latin Charter School, and the Board of the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. His trade organization service with ISRI has included two terms as an elected board member as well as Chairman of the Domestic Trade and the Convention Committees. Michael has been honored as Businessman of the Year by the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. In 2006 he was winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Michael resides in Haverford, Pennsylvania with his wife, Debbie, and youngest son, Alex. He also has a daughter Rachel, and a son David who lives in Chesterton, Indiana with his wife Carrie and son Reuben and daughter Sylvia.

Blake Kelley

Born in 1954 and raised in Pittsburgh, PA as the son of Ralph B. Kelley, whom spent a 50 year career with LTV Steel and Swedish Steel USA . Blake graduated from Jacksonville University in 1976 with a degree in marketing and economics. He began his career in the recycling industry that same year with Luria Bothers holding various operating and commercial positions. He founded Seaway Scrap Trading in 1985 which became a regional trader of scrap metal. He joined Hugo Neu Corporation in 1995 which has since evolved into Sims Metal Management where as Vice President his involvements include working together with a team of well-skilled colleagues marketing company scrap metal materials and trading with independent producers of Pig Iron, HBI, Billet, and Scrap. He is currently a board member of the HBI Association. He is married and has two sons.

John Kopfle
Director of Corp. Development, Midrex Technologies

Mr. Kopfle serves as Director – Corporate Development for Midrex Technologies, Inc. Midrex is based in Charlotte, NC, and is the leading process technology supplier for the production of direct reduced iron. MIDREX® Plants produced 60 percent of the world’s DRI in 2007. Mr. Kopfle oversees corporate planning, marketing, and non-traditional business development. During his 25 years at Midrex, Mr. Kopfle has also worked in research and development, process engineering, and sales. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Virginia Tech, an M.B.A. at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and is a registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Kopfle has authored over 90 technical papers and contributed to three books, including “Direct Reduced Iron: Technology and Economics of Production and Use.” He is a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Technology, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and he serves on the board of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte.

Robin Masters

Robin has been actively involved in the commercial side of the International Drybulk Shipping market for over 30 years

After an initial period with Eggar Forrester and Sagland in London, Robin crossed the pond in 1976 with Sagus Marine, (the in-house NY counterpart of Sagland/Louis Dreyfus) developing bulk, unitized ans self-loading/discharging business and the floating storage/feeder concept for Dreyfus and it's then affiliate Gearbulk.

Burkhard Dahmen was born in Düsseldorf on February 15, 1964.

He studied Economics and Business Management at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster and at the University of Warwick in England and was awarded the degree of "Dipl.-Kaufmann". His main subjects were capital goods marketing and financing.

In 1990 he joined SMS Schloemann-Siemag AG as a manager in the project and contract financing department, changing to the Far East Sales department in 1993.

From 1994 until 1997 he managed the SMS Liaison Office in Peking, coordinating all of the company's activities in the People's Republic of China.

On July 1, 1997 he returned to Düsseldorf as General Manager of the central department Marketing / Central Sales.

On November 1, 2002 he was appointed Managing Director of Sidernaval Equipos Siderúrgicos S.A. in Bilbao/Spain.

Effective from January 15, 2004, he was nominated Deputy Board Member of SMS Demag AG.

Frank Fisher
