Votorantim’s revenue off 3% in 1st qtr.

SÃO PAULO — Brazil’s Votorantim Metais Ltda. logged a 3-percent year-on-year drop in first-quarter revenue amid lower sales volumes—particularly for aluminum—and LME prices, the company said.

Revenue totaled 2.27 billion reais ($1.06 billion), down from some 2.33 billion reais in the first quarter of 2012.

Zinc revenue accounted for 1.21 billion reais ($566 million) of the total, down 3 percent in the same comparison. ....
